Woodchester Valley Retirement Village
Your life, your way
Cradled in its own lovely valley between the thriving towns of Nailsworth and Stroud, our village is unique in being owned and over-seen by us, its residents, rather than a profit-making company.
We live in spacious modern Cotswold stone houses and apartments, surrounded by
award-winning communal gardens.
What’s special about this village?
An idyllic setting
An idyllic setting in a peaceful valley below the extensive woodlands of the National Trust’s Woodchester Park, amidst the beautiful Western Cotswold Hills.
A warm and welcoming community
It’s a very welcoming place: we’re a friendly community, with a helpful manager and onsite services that make our lives easier: cleaning, laundry, handyman and more – plus a guest suite for visitors.
Independent and active living
We lead active independent lives and make good use of the restaurant, bar, shared spaces and minibus to organise a wide range of activities, social events and trips to suit different interests and capabilities.
Peaceful, yet well connected
It’s in a well-connected location near the M5 and a fast rail link to London, within easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath, and not far from Cirencester, the “Capital of the Cotswolds”.
Gardens, nature and wildlife
It’s a perfect place for garden lovers and naturalists: we share our small gardens, fruit and vegetable beds, pond and orchard with a host of wildlife.
